Ever since the pandemic and being furloughed things have just not been great. Might be time for a change IT & Tech Careersīeen with my company 20 plus years. On the plus side, we didn't experience any of the other major bugs users were reporting with profiles, but that is most likely because all of our profiles are mapped to the network and not the local machine. I rolled out 10 Windupdates (before Microsoft pulled the update) to 10 machines, and all 10 machines exhibit this mapped drive behavior. I roll out major Windows 10 releases in phases in case there are any bugs. 200 Windows 10 desktops, never an issue with mapped drive flaggings (even when we ran Windows 7). In my environment, this is 100% a Windows 1809 issue. This is different than the "normal stuff". Advise users to at least try clicking on the drive before submitting tickets. Ignore it unless they are unable to connect. This has absolutely nothing to do with the 1809 update. It's reconnecting your network drives since you shut down the computer and it has to refresh those connections.
